&& we do it in the dark Arctos Lupus
&& don’t pretend you ever forget about me ;; introduction
Name: Evan L. Alias(es): Evan/Mak/Randy/What ever the heck you wanna call me Age: (optional) Contact: AIM: Umbreoniclord How did you come across WLWS: *pokes Les* Other characters or potential characters: Oh lawd, I have WAY too many. I dunno who I'm gonna bring in to be honest. RP sample:
Arctos opened his eyes and looked around. The sight of a green grassy plain greeted his eyes, along with a clear blue sky. "Yes, I did it!" He exclaimed, rising to his feet. The wind rippled through his hair as he looked around. He had taken his skills to a whole new level - he had made his spirit appear somewhere else. This had taken him months of practice, and he was excited now that he had succeeded.
Arctos shook his head as he walked around the plain. "Okay, I'm batshit crazy. This just proves it. Either I'm hallucinating, or I'm having one hell of a realistic dream." He muttered. He went ahead and laid down in the grass, relaxing as the wind blew. "Forget this being a dream or hallucination - this is way too relaxing. I think I'll just stay here a while."
Unfortunately for him, 'staying a while' caused him to fall asleep. Arctos jolted awake in the plain and checked his watch to see the time. "Three in the morning?!" He exclaimed. "Dammit! I had a date!" He shouted before cursing loudly and rapidly. He closed his eyes, clearing his eyes in meditation, which allowed him to easily return to his body. Arctos felt completely awake and rested. He then sighed. "No sleeping for me tonight..." He said, checking another clock which confirmed that the time was indeed 3 AM.
&& we don’t fight fair ;; basic information
Character Name: Arctos Lupus Character Alias(es): Arctos/The Crazy One Age: 16 House: Griffen Special Talent(s): Can talk to spirits Job: Works at a subway Wand: Phoenix Feather, Redwood, 13 inches Blood: Pure Top Characteristic: He thinks he's absolutely insane. && with smiles on our faces ;; personality information
Pet Peeve(s): Being called an asshole. Anyone who calls him that WILL be in pain. Lots and lots of pain. Dream(s): To teach, and to meet someone who can prove that he's NOT absolutely crazy. Likes: School (like I said, crazy), his iPod, and a nameless book that he always carries with him Dislikes: Jerks, Dead batteries, and alcohol Fears: Developing some huge life changing medical condition and dying. Odd Habit(s): He talks to himself a lot. The weirder part is that he answers back, some times. Arctos only answers back if he's not talking to a spirit. Personality: Arctos is very odd. He considers himself to be absolutely crazy, even if no one else thinks he is. Despite not believing that the spirits that he communicates with exist, he's very focused on talking with them. He can be found awake late at night talking with what ever spirit happens to be in the room. Despite having more spiritual friends than anyone else alive ever will, he feels lonely and isolated from much of humanity.
This loneliness that he feels contributes to what Arctos feels is what he fears most: Dying alone. He fears that his spirit talking will turn off anyone who would even consider him. This is also made worse by a former girlfriend that Arctos had. She broke up with him when Arctos told her the reason why he talked to himself so much. This made him ashamed of his abilities, and now he won't tell anyone why he talks to himself so much. He hasn't had a girlfriend since the one that dumped him.
In short, Arctos thinks that he's insane, has no friends, so he feels lonely, and he feels ashamed of his ability to talk to spirits.
What others think of them: "Arctos is pretty weird. He talks to himself a lot, and he won't ever tell anyone why. Sometimes he answers himself, but other times he doesn't. No one knows who he's talking to, although that girl that dumped him claims that he said that he talks to the dead. That's freaking insane. The dead... are well, dead. No one can talk to them. I think that the girl is just making stuff up to get people to think he's crazy. Really though, everyone thinks that he's pretty weird. He doesn't have any friends, so no one really knows any side of him other than what he shows people. If you look at it that way, no one really knows who he really is." -A classmate of his
"I wish I could say that I was his friend. I've offered to hang out with Arctos before, but he's said no every time. It's really weird. His excuse is either 'none of my business' or he's 'busy'. Doing what though?! He's such an enigma. I've talked to that ex of his to try and find out a bit about him, but all she talks about is how crazy he is. Is there really any more to him than what he's showing? I've often wondered if he just has Asperger's or something. It would certainly explain why he's so anti social." -Another classmate
What they think of themselves:
"What do I think of myself? I'm a freaking nut! I talk to what are supposedly spirits. Yeah, right. I know that they aren't really spirits. I know that I'm hallucinating, but my parents won't take me to a doctor for some reason. I don't get why. Anyway, I've been rambling. Umm... Yeah, aside from being absolutely insane, I'd like to think that I'm a pretty nice guy. If it weren't for what I talk to, I wouldn't mind hanging out with other people. People have no clue who the real me is since I won't let them know. That's the way I prefer, since I'd rather not have a repeat of what happened with my ex." -Arctos
&& we’re trapped ;; appearance information
Celebrity: Sean Biggerstaff (Played Oliver Wood in the first two HP movies) Have a signature: I gots none ^^' Have an icon: See my avatar Clothing style: Arctos wears a dark blue dress shirt over a plain black T-Shirt. The dress shirt is unbuttoned and not tucked in. He also wears plain jeans. They are really baggy, yet somehow they manage to stay up without his help. On the back left pocket of the jeans, an eagle is stitched into them. He has that same design stitched on the pocket of his dress shirt too. One item they have at all times: Two items, actually. One, a book. It has no cover, title, or anything on it. The other is a pocket watch. There's nothing special about it.
&& we’ll conceal ;; history information
Family: John & Michelle Lupus Friends: None Pet(s): None Best memory: The day that he started going to this school, because it meant that he had actually been accepted somewhere, which gave him a sense of belonging. Worse memory: Nearly drowning one time in a lake. He and his family went on vacation, he went swimming in a lake, and something caught his leg, nearly making him drown. History: Arctos was born to John and Michelle Lupus. The significant history for Arctos begins at the age of five, at which point he discovered his ability to talk to spirits. He tugged on his mom's arm that day. "Mom," He said. "There's a man in here. He looks weird - I can see through him." At which point his mom looked at him, at first with a look of shock before looking confused. "There's no man in here, Arctos. You know that it's wrong to lie." His mom said with a disapproving voice. Arctos shook his head. "No Mom, there's really a man here!" he replied. Michelle then lead her son off, scolding him for lying. This event caused Arctos to believe that what he was seeing wasn't really there.
Arctos grew older and matured, still seeing and being able to talk to the spirits, but not believing that they were there. The topic of spirits became a forbidden discussion in their house. He went to middle school and met a girl. This girl was the first one that he really considered a friend. Eventually, he asked her out on a date, to which she was happy to accept. The date was a huge success, and they continued dating afterword. They were talked about as one of the happiest couples around. Then on one date, he brought up his talking to spirits. She had a shocked expression on her face before relaxing and acting like nothing happened. The day after the date, she called Arctos to tell him that she was dumping him. To him, this was the last straw - he knew that no one could ever know about his talking with spirits.
Shortly after being dumped, Arctos received a letter in the mail. He had been invited to the Serenity Magic School. He expressed speculation at the letter, claiming that magic doesn't exist, but his parents revealed to him that they actually had magical abilities and so did he, but his parents wanted to integrate him into the magicless society as much as they could. Dumbfounded by this revelation, he accepted the invitation, despite outrage from his parents.
An odd thing that stands out: Arctos talks to himself aloud, even if there aren't any spirits around. He actually answers himself back, and he even has conversations with himself.
&& in secret places ;; other information
Plot idea(s): Umm... not really any, no. Thoughts on the site: it looks pretty fun. I'll reserve judgment for until I've RPed here more. I'm not really used to this kind of RP. Questions: I'm pretty certain overall. Concerns: I'll pretty much be around, but the times that I'll be around are erratic. I can be around any time, day or night. Other: Nothing
